Data Analysis
Day 8:
Date: 9th April,2020
Data
Analysis:
Data: It is
a information processed by the computer. This information may be in the form of
image files, text documents, audio files, software programs, any other type of
files is called Data.
This data
stores in the computer’s files and folders on the computer hard disk.
How do we
create the data?
By using
input device like keyboard, sensors, mouse, bar code scanners….etc
Sensors are
also a part of input devices which measures things on a continuing basis, such
as temperature, traffic …
What
is Data Analysis?
It is a
process of data which can be inspecting, cleansing duplicate data, converting
into readable consolidation information.
Data will
be stored in the data base servers.
How do we
access the files over the internet?
There is
one protocol is available FTP (File Transfer Protocol). We can access the files
from the web server by using FTP.
Data
Processing?
It is a collection of items of data and manipulation of data
which is converted into meaningful information is called Data processing.
By taking
the raw data , and converting into meaningful information is called data
processing.
Difference
between Data processing and Data Analysis?
Taking raw
data, combining data together , and converting into readable format is called
Data Processing.
By taking
the readable format, converting into charts, graphs is called Data Analysis.
Types of
Data Analysis:
1.Data mining
2.Business Intelligence
3.Statistical Analysis
4.Predictive Analysis
5.Text Analysis
Phases are
involved for Data Analysis:
1.Data Requirement Specification
2. Collecting the Data
3.Process the data
4.Cleaning the data
5.Data Analysis
6.Delivered the Data Analysed
1.Data Requirement Specification: This is done by using any data form, by
giving any input parameters, hard copy data, by giving any question. Based on
this data requirement is gathered.
2.Collecting the Data: Data is collected from various sources from
organizational databases to the information in web pages. This collecting data
may not be in proper structure or format.
3.Data processing: Once we
collected the data must be processed for Data analysis. This includes
structured the data as per our requirement which is relevant to our Analysis
tool. For example, the data may be in the form of tables (rows and columns)
within the spreadsheet.
4.Cleaning the Data: Once the data is processed, the organized data may be duplicates,
this should be cleaned.
5.Data Analysis: Once is
processed and cleaned the data, Data Analysis comes to the picture. There are
some tools are available to perform Data Analysis, Data Visualization which
performs in the graphical format/charts, Regression Analysis, Advance Excel tools,
Big Data, Cogno’s tools are available.
6. Delivery Phase : Once the data is
analysed, it is ready to share with the identified devices or users/clients.
