SERVER: A server is a computer program, job is to serve the request of another computer’s program (client’s computer). It servers the data to other computers on a local area network (LAN) or Wide Area Network over the Internet. Types of servers: Web server, mail server, data base server, application server, virtual server……… Web Server? A web server is a computer prog.. that servers requested HTML pages or files. Here Web Browser acts as the client. Application Server: It supports the environment for all kinds of technologies….Even ERP…Etc. Every Application server by default which contains web server. Virtualization: means we can create multiple virtual machines (servers) in a physical server. Hypervisor : It is nothing but a one kind of operating system…just like windows, linux,….etc Webserver …1GM, 1 CPU Application…2GM…2 CPU DB Server: 16 GM…RAM 5 CPU’S The above requirements will be fulfilled by Hypervisor.
