The practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store the data, rather than a local server or personal computer.

The cloud is the internet, which describes software and its services that run through the internet /intranet rather than on private servers and hard disks.

Cloud computing is a model for enabling the ubiquitous(spreading), convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computer resources (examples: networks, servers, storage, applications and services) .
